    • Introduction
      • Squacky Squirrel Call has been made from the finest and most satisfactory material obtainable, after a long experimental period.  The wooden parts are made from African vermillion mahogany, specially treated to produce sound and tone.
      • Do not treat, varnish or coat your Squacky Squirrel Call.  It is suggested that once or twice each year you submerge the wooden parts in pure linseed oil, allowing to remain thirty seconds.  All metal parts are made from the finest brass, assuring rust resistance.
      • Keep screw bolt (at beveled end of call)firmly tight.  Tighten the center screw bolt (lightly) until it produces the proper pitch.  Proper adjustment of both screw bolts plays an important part in the tone of call. 
      • Do Not Overuse Squacky
      • After three or four calls have been made wait from one to five minutes before repeating.  Even though you receive an immediate answer, do not repeat for ten or fifteen seconds.
      • In a very coaxing manner, using extremely light, short strokes at short intervals, bring your squirrel to you, or make him completely expose himself.  Often times a smart old squirrel will not reveal his presence by a bark but will expose himself completely.
      • Best results froma barking squirrel will be obtained during the early morning or late evening hunting.
      • During the heat of the day when squirrels are not moving or feeding, best 210a squirrel woods and allowing five to ten minutes of complete silence before attempting to make a call.  Squirrels during this period of day quite often “lay out” well concealed from the hunter’s eye.  A few barks from “Squacky” will almost always produce results by the squirrel moving from his hidden location, thus completely exposing himself.
      • It is not uncommon for a squirrel to cross an opening or to come from the top of a tree to the ground to investigate “Squacky.”
      • A Little Practice and a Light Touch will make the use of “Squacky” perfect.
